The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)
Luc Denture Clinic is proud to support patients in East York and North York in Ontario by participating in the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). This government initiative is designed to make dental care more accessible and affordable for Canadians, ensuring that you and your family can maintain healthy smiles without financial stress.
Coverage and Payment Information
The CDCP offers varying levels of reimbursement for dental services, depending on your adjusted family net income. If your income is below $70,000, you are eligible for full coverage on approved services. Those with incomes between $70,000 and $79,999 receive 60% coverage, with a 40% co-payment required. For families earning between $80,000 and $89,999, 40% of eligible costs are covered, and patients pay the remaining 60%.
Please note that additional charges may apply if a service costs more than CDCP reimbursement limits, is not covered by the plan, or if you and your provider agree to treatments outside the CDCP's scope.
Transparent Pricing
Luc Denture Clinic prioritizes transparency in all billing matters. Before any treatment begins, we will clearly outline any expected out-of-pocket expenses. To help you plan, we offer pre-treatment estimates so you can understand your financial responsibility and make informed decisions about your dental care.
Balanced Billing
Balanced billing means patients may be responsible for paying the difference between the CDCP reimbursement and the clinic's standard fees. Since CDCP reimbursement rates can be lower than our typical charges, you might need to pay the gap. Additionally, if you choose services not covered by the CDCP, these will be billed separately. Luc Denture Clinic will always inform you of any extra costs in advance, ensuring clarity and peace of mind.
Your CDCP Coverage: Applications and Renewals
Applying or renewing your CDCP coverage is a simple process. Visit the official CDCP Application Portal and follow the instructions to complete your application or renewal. Be sure to provide all required documentation to avoid delays and ensure your coverage is up to date.
